“The Choristers are taught so much more than just singing. The National Boys Choir of Australia support and nurture the whole person. Promoting respect and building confidence and self-esteem. The boys graduate as well-rounded young men.”

"The highlight of Jeremy's six-year journey with the National Boys Choir has undoubtedly been the camaraderie and love he's experienced along the way. Jeremy chanced upon a flyer for the NBCA’s Christmas concert at Hamer Hall in 2018 while attending his sister's choir performance, and if you were to ask him, he would tell you that it was the best decision he has ever made.
Always full of praises for his vocal tutors, staff, and fellow choristers, Jeremy enjoys his weekly rehearsals and gigs, particularly the Carols by Candlelight event which he describes as being a magical experience, and one that he will cherish forever. Another memorable moment for Jeremy was when he got to be on a local TV show singing about Haley’s Comet. Tours have been very educational for Jeremy giving him a platform to learn more about himself, teaching him the importance of teamwork, cooperation and instilling a strong sense of discipline and commitment. Needless to say that being in NBCA has improved his vocal skills, and boosted his self-confidence. Jeremy has had his first experience of being a leader, an opportunity that has shaped him into a responsible young man. This journey with the choir has been one that has enabled him to explore his values and relevant skills which have also extended to his leadership abilities at his school.
We are grateful for the friendships we have built with the staff and fellow parents. I dare say we have managed to create a second family within our wonderful NBCA community."

"Initially, I encouraged my son to audition for the National Boy Choir of Australia (NBCA) seeking online social interaction during the COVID-19 period. The school excelled in transitioning from remote learning to onsite classes after COVID, offering face-to-face sessions with teachers and peers, as well as numerous performances and activities that enriched not only vocal skills but also life experiences, and opportunities to meet and sing with choristers from different age groups of NBCA and from overseas. Over three years with NBCA, my son, William Chiang, has gradually come out of his shell, embarked on a journey to explore the world and gained significant confidence. Notably, after his first trip to Queensland last year, he became ready for any events, including participating in the World Choir Games during the recent New Zealand tour with ease. He deeply appreciates his dedicated teachers and supportive staff, cherishes his friends in the choir, and embraces singing with a broader perspective, understanding that vocal artistry extends beyond the school. The NBCA has provided him with a platform to thrive, making his journey a truly enriching adventure. I highly recommend NBCA to anyone seeking a professional environment for their young boys".

"The NBCA not only gave our sons amazing opportunities to enjoy fine choral singing through countless performances but also build up their self-esteem, resilience and leadership skills. They met many like minded boys, developed beautiful friendships and a strong choir community connection. Thank you NBCA team for giving them this opportunity."

To be trained by Andrew (Bainbridge) is a privilege!!! His work speaks for itself if you ever catch the NBCA perform at their Winter and Christmas concerts as well as gigs such as the annual tours in Australia and internationally, RMP and Christmas gigs around Melbourne. Andrew is very dedicated and a fantastic mentor for the boys!! If you have a son who loves to sing, NBCA is the place to be trained with Andrew and his team of amazing tutors.

“The National Boys Choir is a wonderful institution for young boys to not only learn and really appreciate singing and music, but also to gain some fantastic life lessons, like independence, being responsible, having a sense of self and community, and really establishing life-long friendships.”
