Amid preparations for tour, the Choir took a performance at the Governor’s House in their stride—less than two weeks before their departure for Queensland. The choristers performed to the Governor, the Honourable Linda Dessau, and invited guests at a reception acknowledging forty years of the National Ageing Research Institute.
Australia’s population is ageing. Advances in health care, living standards and technology have contributed to increased life expectancy; Australians are living longer and in the future older people will make up a larger percentage of our population. By researching ageing now we are helping to build a better future for all.

The National Boys Choir of Australia acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which we rehearse and work. We pay respect to their elders past, present and emerging.
