The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra again invited the choir to take part in their season this year, in particular Mahler’s Third Symphony. The mention of Mahler always brings adjectives like grand, epic, and ambitious to mind so the boys were enthusiastic to accept the challenge thrown at them for these performances. Not only is it musically challenging for the boys, but offers the added dimension of extreme discipline for 10-13 year olds to sit quietly in view of the audience for over an hour and be ready to pick up the cue when Maestro Sir Andrew Davis calls for them!

The National Boys Choir of Australia acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which we rehearse and work. We pay respect to their elders past, present and emerging.
