Ruth Tenace joined the Artistic Staff of NBCA in 2003. Ruth has worked with the training choirs during her thirteen years with the Choir, primarily as the Accompanist but more recently sharing the tutoring and conducting role with Alexandra Boemo.

Ruth has regularly toured with the Choir including visits to Japan, USA and New Zealand plus national tours to Queensland, West Australia, New South Wales, South Australia, and Tasmania and regionally around Victoria. Ruth can lend her hand to any task and will be sorely missed on all levels.

Ruth is looking to reintroduce herself to the family, explore holiday options (rather than just talking about them) and pursue her love of music with a smattering of private students, singing and performing for Nursing Homes and Retirement Villages around town (something she loves doing) and playing her piano accordion at the Swiss Club. I’m told she also has the white ball disease . . . well, she’ll be able to spend many hours chasing one around the golf course. In fact, I’m sure there are many more activities that will occupy Ruth and keep an already busy person . . . just as busy. We wish her well and thank her for her tremendous contribution.

The National Boys Choir of Australia acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which we rehearse and work. We pay respect to their elders past, present and emerging.
