OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERADay 1

Dear Parents, family and friends.

Forty-two punctual and excited choristers met the NBCA staff at Melbourne Airport ready to embark on the 2013 tour of Tasmania. As the boys arrived the choir prefects were quick to ensure suit cases were lined up in numerical order, staff and wardrobe bags were assembled and younger choristers sent to have their names marked off the roll.  Then there was some time spent milling around with families before checking baggage.

After a final good bye it was through security (without any surprises) and off to the gate for a short briefing before boarding the aircraft for the fifty minute flight to Launceston. Not surprisingly the boys were complimented on their manners and good behavior by both the crew and passengers. Once we landed in Launceston it was time to once again line up the cases before moving to the coach for the trip to Devonport.

On arrival we were met by the friendly families of the Crescendo Choir who welcomed the boys and took them home to see some of the local sights and enjoy their first evening in the Apple Isle.

The National Boys Choir of Australia acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which we rehearse and work. We pay respect to their elders past, present and emerging.
