Phew! What a corker of a night. Even with the air conditioning ramped up inside Hamer Hall, there was no denying it was HOT outside. Thank you to our boys, men’s choir and families for keeping your cool under extreme temperatures.

After a bight opening from our Elementary and Junior Choristers, the performing choir presented a work new to the Choir – The First Nowell by Ralph Vaughan Williams – and this was well received thanks to fine work from all performers and our soloists Anna Voshege and Lucas De Jong. The second half included many Christmas favourites as well as some lesser-known works and several arrangements by Co-Artistic Director Philip Carmody.

Mr Casey and Mr Carmody were delighted with the work of the boys and men at the concert, and audience comments were particularly positive. Congratulations to everyone – staff, parents, extended family, our talented choristers, men, compere Jason Cameron and our superb orchestra.

The National Boys Choir of Australia acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which we rehearse and work. We pay respect to their elders past, present and emerging.
