A selection of NBCA performing choristers were again invited to help open Buddha’s Day and Multicultural Festival at Federation Square in May. Before a vibrant dragon dance and entrance of Melbourne’s esteemed Buddhist monks to the stage, choristers sang the Australian national anthem. Federation Square was awash with celebration and market stalls, cultural performances and more.

It’s a privilege to have been asked to open this event in recent years; an event that brings many aspects of Melbourne’s multicultural community together.

The National Boys Choir of Australia acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which we rehearse and work. We pay respect to their elders past, present and emerging.
