Selected Performing Choir choristers rounded off 2018 with popular Christmas side-gigs, in addition to the Christmas Concert and Carols by Candlelight. Choristers performed at the Arts Centre’s Morning Melodies in front of a 5,000 seat audience. One Facebook fan declared after the performance:

“The boys were absolutely amazing!”

Performing chorister Isaac Pearson was selected for the soloist role in The Snowman at Melbourne Recital Centre. This was Isaac’s second consecutive year in the role!

Looking ahead to 2019, Performing choristers will be up for selection for Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’s Stravinsky’s Persephone on July 18 and 20, then Hansel and Gretel on November 28 and 30. Both performances will be sung in French and German respectively, introducing an exciting component to our choristers’ craft: singing in a foreign language.

The National Boys Choir of Australia acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which we rehearse and work. We pay respect to their elders past, present and emerging.
