In 2018, the Elementary Junior Showcase was hosted in-house in the Casey Studio. Ms Brook steered the performance, with significant assistance from Miss Ferwerda and Mr Taylor, from staging to repertoire and theme for the evening. Choir Co-Captains Soren Adkin and Callum Corbally compered on the night while Performing chorister Shilah Brown featured with a French horn performance. Performing choristers Liam Brown, Daniel Elias and Mitchell Laurie assisted on the night, too. It was a terrific evening that lent our training choirs valuable performing experience in front of a live audience. The Junior Choir performed their very first official external gig at the Christmas Party for Special Kids. This is a massive and busy event, giving kids with special needs and their families a day where they can enjoy a fun-filled, joyous time away from the daily challenges of their illnesses. The scale of the event also brings attention to the NBCA and the skills needed to perform for the benefit of others.
