Old Boy Nikita Miltiadou (2001 to 2003) appeared in the second round of the QANTAS ads back in 2003. Nowadays, he’s channelling his unbridled passion for music – plus keen music skills – full time as a record producer, studio engineer, live sound engineer and tour manager. He’s worked with major Australian music companies Premier Artists, 123 Agency, Lemon Tree Music and Mushroom Group. Nikita has worked with some of Australia’s esteemed music talent including Tash Sultana’s debut EP in 2016; achieving over two million Spotify streams since its release. Sultana’s tracks Jungle and Notion, which Nikita engineered, mixed and produced, came in at Number 3 and 32 respectively in Triple J’s Hottest 100 earlier this year. Nikita has also sat in the assistant engineer chair for prolific Australian contemporary acts Something For Kate, Joe Camilleri, Kingswood and Stonefield. Says Nikita of his time with the NBCA: “I owe that passion to being in the choir; giving me an ear for harmony and melody that I put to use every day.” What a way to build a career out of a passion that stemmed from his time at NBCA.
