The National Boys Choir of Australia will perform in Rockhampton in September along with the Rockhampton Musical Union Youth Choir.

The Choir, well known for the iconic Qantas television commercials, will perform with the Rockhampton Musical Union Youth Choir in a special concert at the Pilbeam Theatre.

The program for the performance is varied and demonstrates the Choir’s diverse range. The tour repertoire includes works by J.S.Bach, John Rutter, Angels are Everywhere by American composer Daniel Pinkham and choral selections from  Les Miserables. The Choir will also sing ‘that song’ from the Qantas commercials as well as Australian folk songs.

The National Boys Choir is one of the oldest children’s choirs in the country, having been founded in 1964.
