This year we have two major events with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. The first, Stravinsky’s Persephone (sung in French), is in July and Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel (sung in German) is in November.

Both are quite complex and in difficult languages, and as such they will require experienced groups of choristers. A group of 30 boys will be selected for Persephone, so please let the office know if your son would not be available for consideration – email or phone is fine. Quite a bit of work will be done at home with practice tracks learning music and text.

Key dates are (and selected boys must be available for all dates):

Rehearsals (precise times for the boys yet to be finalised):
Monday 15 July: 4.00pm to 6.30pm, 7.30pm to 10.00pm
Tuesday 16 July: 4.00pm to 6.30pm, 7.30pm to 10.00pm
Wednesday 17 July: 4.00pm to 6.30pm, 7.30 – 10.00pm (General Rehearsal)

Performances:
Thursday July 18: 7.30pm
Saturday July 20: 2.00pm
