Come Christmas Eve this year the  Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight will celebrate their 80th anniversary.

Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight is the largest Carols by Candlelight event in Australia. The event on Christmas Eve and was first held in Alexandra Gardens in 1938 and attended by around 10,000 people. Following World War II, the Carols became so well patronised that the decision was made to move it to the neighboring park in King’s Domain. In 1959, the newly constructed Sidney Myer Music Bowl provided a permanent venue, where they are still held to this day.

The National Boys Choir of Australia has been performing with Carols by Candlelight for 30 years.  We are delighted to announce that the boys will again join a cast of national and international guests on stage at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl this Christmas Eve.

Elementary choristers will not participate  – this event is available for the Performing choristers only.

Junior choristers will not participate  – this event is available for the Performing choristers only.
