For Boys Who Love To Sing…

Auditions are informal and take no more than 20 minutes.

Boys commence with the choir at seven or eight years of age, and entry is by audition. Following a successful audition, boys begin their NBCA journey in our Training Choir program with a year in the Elementary Choir, followed by a year in the Junior Choir, before progressing to the Performing Choir and beyond. You can read more about the Choir structure here.

In addition to providing a supportive and welcoming environment for boys to further their love for singing and music, the National Boys Choir of Australia offers unique performance opportunities via its own concerts and tours, along with regular performances with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and also on television and radio. An annual highlight is Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl.

The National Boys Choir of Australia acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which we rehearse and work. We pay respect to their elders past, present and emerging.
