Oliver Thomson (NBCA 2010-2015) has been awarded the Casey Young Citizen of the Year award for 2016.
At just 13 years of age and a student at St Francis Xavier College Berwick Campus, he has a passion for the arts and is a talented musician, singer and dancer.

Oliver, who retired last year with voice change after 6 years with the Choir, performed in many corporate events across Melbourne, including MSO, Victorian Opera, Opera Australia and musical theatre. In the City of Casey, Oliver has been involved in local theatre productions, school plays, musicals, recitals and debates. He has performed at many community events including Australia Day events, the Berwick Show, Casey Kids Carnival and Narre Warren North Christmas Carols. He is also a regular co-presenter of the Casey Arts Hour on Casey Radio. Oliver combines his artistic talents with a desire to help others through community involvement and active support for several charities and fundraisers.
