After the success of the award-winning Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring score performed live last year at Hamer Hall, there was a rush on tickets when the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra announced dates for the second film in the Rings trilogy, The Two Towers, prompting an extra Matinee performance on the Sunday.
The Age reviewer, Martin Duffy, congratulated the boy soloist Austin Haynes and the choir for their excellent vocalisations and management of the fictional language. High praise indeed.
The boys now look forward to the final film in the trilogy – Return of the King with performances Friday February 28, Saturday March 1 and Sunday March 2 next year.
