If you attended the NBCA Winter Concert, you’ll know what a breathtaking and enchanting evening it was. If you didn’t attend, make sure you have tickets for the Christmas Concert on December 10 at Melbourne Town Hall.

The Winter Concert was the magical conclusion to months and months of practice and individual hard work. It featured an orchestra performing with 100 voices made up of the following choirs: the NBCA Training Choir, the NBCA Performance Choir, the NBCA Young Men’s Choir and the NBCA Men’s Choir. The Artistic Director was Andrew Bainbridge, the Director of Training Choirs was Mandy Lyn Brook and Accompanists were Jane Matheson and Ben Taylor.
The concert featured Vivaldi’s Gloria in D with solo performances by Mandy Lyn Brook and Iris Zavou.
Also featured in the concert was music by contemporary Australian composers including Ruth McCall, Lyn Williams, Colin Brumby, Mark Puddy, Dan Walker, Todd McNeal, Stephen Leek and Nicholas Buc. Some of the music was commissioned by the NBCA featuring Australian Aboriginal themes and language.
