Oliver Thomson

Oliver Thomson

This charity event for the Royal Children’s Hospital Neo-Natal Unit was again a part of the Choir calendar in November, a beautiful day at Cruden Farm (the late Dame Elisabeth Murdoch’s residence). Oliver Thomson represented the Choir singing Away in a Manger – not that we needed any reminding of how close Christmas was!

Oliver also participated in a world first, the Tale of Two Organs – Sunday 30 November – where both the Melbourne Town Hall Grand organ and the stunning Regent Theatre Wurlitzer organ were showcased in the same concert – a mix of classical and theatre organ styles. Oliver sang Pie Jesu in part of the classical program at the Town Hall.

Oliver had a busy end to last year as he also performed in The Snowman for Melbourne Recital Centre on Saturday 6 December 2014.

The National Boys Choir of Australia acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which we rehearse and work. We pay respect to their elders past, present and emerging.
