The boys were keen to make themselves available for the Grand Prix gigs.

A group of fifteen boys sang at the Welcome Function held at Government House on Thursday 24 March and a further twenty boys excitedly sang on Race Day, Sunday 27 March. Both occasions presented a myriad of VIP’s including the then Governor of Victoria, Professor David de Kretser, Victorian Premier Ted Baillieu, Chairman of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation Mr Ron Walker and Alan Joyce, CEO and Managing Director of Qantas.

The National Boys Choir of Australia acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which we rehearse and work. We pay respect to their elders past, present and emerging.
