Our July Concert was held at the Melbourne Recital Centre, and the acoustic is absolutely superb for audiences to enjoy fine singing. The Performing Choir sang very well after months of hard work and memorising, as did the Junior Choristers, with composer Todd McNeal in the audience to hear his new songs Three Poems of Walter De La Mare. Todd was delighted with the performance, as were the music staff and the enthusiastic audience. Robyn Cochrane handled the difficult piano accompaniments superbly.

Other featured works included Fauré’s Messe Basse in an arrangement by Philip Carmody for strings and chamber organ, and selections from Oliver which the boys particularly enjoy.

The National Boys Choir of Australia acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which we rehearse and work. We pay respect to their elders past, present and emerging.
